Acrylic paint on raw canvas, wire 24”x50”

At times I’ll use my repetitive words as a form of “semantic satiation” an example of this is my “Tension” piece. I wrote this word due to how I was feeling at the time and writing it over and over made the word lose it’s meaning which also made me feel better (and then adding a little tension to the canvas to give it the all the feels I had, to really not just have the word there, but to see the tension also).

This isn’t a fact in ALL my word paintings, but in many it is.
