I started my Raw Ink Series back in 2020. During Covid I didn’t want to paint at all, I was extremely depressed and worried all the time. I decided to start experimenting with ink and watercolor. The colors blending into each other, their movements on the paper made me smile and excited about art again. Once I found working with ink fun, I decided to experiment how to incorporate it in with my other mediums, this piece was then born. I felt like the ink made the paper look somewhat rusted and like patina. It is one of my favorite ink pieces to date.
